Non-Fired Bricks

Traditional fired brick production consumes high energy, causes significant pollution, and depletes clay resources. By combining industrial waste, tailings, construction debris, or waste soil with YITA liquid soil stabilizer, high-strength, durable, and eco-friendly non-fired bricks can be produced. This solution turns waste into valuable materials while significantly reducing production costs. The comprehensive cost per brick is 30%–50% lower than fired bricks, with no high-temperature kilning and zero exhaust emissions.
● High raw material costs: High-quality clay is scarce; procurement and transport are expensive.
● Environmental pressure: Fired brick kilns are being restricted or shut down due to carbon emission targets.
● Difficult waste disposal: Mine tailings, industrial residues, and construction debris accumulate, with high disposal costs.
● Insufficient brick strength: Some non-fired bricks have poor durability, prone to weathering and cracking.
● Policy support: Demand for green building materials is increasing, but traditional bricks struggle to obtain certification.

● Raw materials: Various waste soil, tailings, fly ash, slag, crushed construction debris, stone chips, etc.
● Stabilizer: YITA liquid soil stabilizer (dosage 0.02%–0.08% of dry material), optionally with 5%–10% cement.
● Process:
○ Crush, screen, and mix raw materials.
○ Add diluted stabilizer according to mix design, add water, and mix evenly.
○ Feed into block forming machine, high-pressure vibration forming.
○ Natural curing or steam curing for 7–28 days.
● Performance: Compressive strength up to 10–30 MPa, meeting MU10–MU30 standards, excellent freeze-thaw and impermeability.

● Material supply: Stabilizer and additives.
● Equipment support: Block forming machines, mixers, curing kilns available for purchase or rent.
● Technical guidance: Mix formulation and production process optimization.
● Investment cooperation: Joint plant construction or technology-for-equity.
Solution | Cost per brick (USD) | Energy consumption | Carbon emissions | Raw material source |
Fired clay brick | 0.05–0.10 | High | High | Clay mine |
Cement non-fired brick | 0.06–0.12 | Medium | Medium | Cement + sand/gravel |
Stabilized soil non-fired brick (this solution) | 0.03–0.07 | Low | Low | Waste/soil |
● Significant cost reduction: Uses free or low-cost waste materials, saving 30%–50% compared to conventional non-fired bricks.
● Eco-friendly: Consumes solid waste, no kiln emissions, eligible for green building material certification.
● Controllable performance: Adjust mix design and curing process to meet different strength grades.
● Policy incentives: Many regions encourage waste utilization and non-fired brick production, offering tax benefits.
